The New York State Department of Transportation is pleased to advise you that work is tentatively scheduled to begin on the above-referenced project in late May 2022.
The project will begin with repairs to a slope and guiderail at Reference marker 1104 to 1109 in the town of New Scotland. This work will require closure of one lane while work is completed. Traffic will be controlled by installation of temporary traffic lights for the duration of this stage of work. Work should be completed within two weeks.
Upon completion of slope repairs the roadway will be Cold in Place Recycled and then paved from the intersection with State Route 143 in the Town of Coeymans to the CSX railroad crossing in the Town of Bethlehem.
During construction there will be alternating one-way traffic in the work areas, controlled by flagpersons and pilot vehicles. All properties and businesses in and near the work areas will remain accessible to residents, patrons and emergency responders throughout construction.
Our current expectation is that this effort will be completed by the end of June. We will provide updates to you and the CC list if the pace of progress necessitates a significant change to the expected completion date.
